Awareness & Education

Community outreach events and training aimed at educating the community, service providers and law enforcement on how to identify and engage male human trafficking victims, and those at risk, as well as how to report trafficking and support marginalized youth.

National research supports the significant scope and scale of the trafficking of men and boys.  More than half of all youth exploited for commercial sex identify as male.  Of those, about half identify as gay or bisexual.

Preventative Outreach, Mentoring And Education

Preventative street outreach staff and volunteers engage with youth and young adults at risk of exploitation as a result of homelessness, LGBTQ discrimination, histories of abuse, substance abuse, mental health challenges, barriers to employment and / or involvement with criminal justice system. Young people are provided basic needs, mentoring, advocacy, care coordination, and referred White House, or community partners for services.

Survivors are paired with a mentor who serves as an advocate, ally and navigator as the young person begins their road to recovery.
